We’re coming up on two decades since the atrocity known as 9/11, an event so global in scale in terms of media coverage and social change that it has changed our world beyond recognition. There are now young adults alive today who have only stories, TV shows, and other media as faint clues as to what a pre-9/11 world was like. As such, we’re seeing the fulfillment of its purpose only now. An historical marker, heralding the New World Order.
Since the beginning of 2019 there has been a “harvest”, amoung other intense energetic events, which a number of people have been experiencing or seeing around them often in the form of sickness and death. Saturn’s conjunction with Pluto lies at the root.
Proud ye Cern. Unassuming lord of the forestland; coat of great silk fur; king ye are, antlers towering high. Wandering ’bout your physical manifestion, eating the berries and nuts of it.
No thought to ye why you are here at all; such is your peace in your place. No wandering star nor nightime bird seem out of place to ye. No beast of the wild to contest your place; ye are at peace.
Come the morn ye remember’d more clearly, a cry in the distance. Grazing here, mewing there, ye traversed ever northward toward it. Old Iliar did perch on y’er mighty antlers from time to time, an old friend come and say hello. And on ye’r journey did go, through the growth and the brushes.
For 7 whole Moonlights your journey did go, through the brushes and the snow. The voice it did get louder.
Then once ye came to a clear passage, a young man by the old wishin’ stone with the same voice you came to feel as your own; that young man you saw a Druid light; and did ye choose that noble fight. Antler angst hand, hove against foot; for a many Moonlight that struggle did last; until, great king, ye did fall, to the Druid’s might tho’ did ye give all.
Fashioned from you, a pelt of your skilk fur; for a chieftain’s head a mock of your antlers to adorn. Up he stood from under the old wishin’ stone and declared to the heavens “I be Emyck, the saviour of the Snowy Passage.” From your remains he made many provisions, more furs for his folk; knives from your bones; offerings of your entrails to the old wishin’ stone. Up from this consecrated ground he did make his departure. A full Moonlight to go; back to his kinfolk, to share his glory.
Back at his kinfolk, in the great mead hall, he declared with your fury, “I am Emeryk, I’ll bring glory to y’all; for I’ve slain the king of the Gods one and all. Now listen to me carefully, my uncle is rotten; although he has treat’d ye fairly so far, he is due to claim our land as his own. Now give me your mandate or the Snowy Passage is his; a great army will take your kin.”
The Chief of his kin did stand up and ‘nounce, “young brother, you are easily drunken by mead; we will never have problems with our kinfold to the East. They’ve been nothing but fairful in their givings and tribute; now go from us for we can much handle our mead. Let us rejoice in his harvest, which you’ve no right to receive.”
Outside of the mead hall while celebrations were high, four men joined Emeryk to discuss his proclamations. To them he gave your silk-like furs, your tender meats, the razor-sharp’d knives. By eating your unexpectedly great flesh, they felt a great wonder and energy, and inquired once more: “Fair and boastful Emeryck, what have you done, to bring such radiant meat and expertly shaven bone knives?” To them fair and boastful Emeryck did say “I did pray’d for 7 Moonlights by the old wishin’ stone; before me did stand Cern and we did engage, on that 7th Moonligth’th as the old legends say; we fought for three Moons and three more, until I won the great beast’s war. Behold, I am your Druid, follow me now into war, or your kinfolk will surely die by the Shillelagh or sword.”
And there was the story of you, Cern of the wood. Your glory, majesty, and power, you seflessly gave. Forever in the world you will give again and again.
October 28th to November 5th as both Jupiter and Chiron are on the last degrees of Scorpio and Pisces (respectively) they form a perfect trine, opening a special window of expansion.
In its religious rigidity, the New Age has cast anger, hate, and other so-called “negative emotions” down to the pit of Hell and admonishes people for feeling them – promising punishment for indulging in them. This is the defining characteristic of the New Age being just another religion with a restrictive, anti-Human set of demands, and an inflexible Good-Evil/God-Satan dichotomy. It ignores the implication of the wisdom that emotion is simply “e-motion – energy in motion”. A process. By damming up that process, irrevocable harm follows.
Anger is an energy
– John Lydon (Johnny Rotten)
First, let us inspect the constructive roots of this misunderstanding – why the New Age warns against anger, for example. When somebody goes into a rage they’re liable to become tunnel-visioned and selfish, causing terror and havoc for those around them, and usually causing themselves compounding grief. This process usually ends up in a bitter cycle of accumulating anger, which turns into victimhood, which turns into hate. The New Agers are correct to want to avoid this process, but this assumes that all expressions of anger, all feelings of victimization, and all feelings of hate come from the same place. It denies their legitimacy, even though that energy exists whether they want to acknowledge it or not. Ultimately it leads to another misconception within the New Age – that the ideal state is a homeostasis of happiness, constructive thoughts, and bliss. When you polarize one area of Being, you inevitably polarize the other.
Mystic and researcher, Michael Tsarion, described Anger in a way which liberated me upon hearing it. He explained that you can separate Anger into two categories: the red flame Anger and the blue flame Anger. Like fire (think cigarette lighters), a red flame is random, careless, selfish, and lacks an objective – it just is and it’s demanding something from the world which it feels it has been deprived. The blue flame of anger on the other hand is like that from a blowtorch or a jet lighter. It is refined, condensed and thus strong, and purposeful. Like John Lydon of the Sex Pistols said, “Anger is an energy”, and it is a beautiful energy that accomplishes things in the world. At its root it is innocent and pure – a response to an injustice, real or perceived. It’s the anger of the female tiger or bear which will do anything to protect its young. The blue and the red distinction isn’t a difference in the Anger itself, but how the conscious Human Being chooses to express it. There is no “bad anger”, just a bad person or someone currently unable to channel that emotion “correctly.” To attack that emotion completely or dismiss it as simply something we need to pass through and “get over” is a huge insult to the Sovereign Being who’s experiencing it. Like any other emotion, when it’s repressed or blocked, it causes problems in the mind and body.
The expression of Anger is an art – admittedly one I’m not very well practiced in. As I’ve grown up to witness Anger being misused and never had anyone to instruct me on how to use it properly, I fell victim to the religious and phony spiritualism that teaches us to suppress it. I decided for the sake of myself and those around me that it’s best to suppress the emotion altogether – more specifically, to suppress the experiences and beliefs I carried about myself which made me Angry in the first place; to avoid situations and people that would make me Angry. I shut off an entire region of my Being because I was taught it was bad and was never told it could be expressed any differently. Of course this didn’t work as it took its toll on my mind and body, and I would inevitably meet circumstances and people that drew the emotion out of me. As I never put time and effort into sharpening this instrument, it would express itself as that anarchic red flame and work against my best intentions. The embarrassment of “not being Buddha enough” only served to convince me that I needed a thicker steel door and a tighter lock. The problem with this philosophy is that emotions aren’t actually divided into separate categories like “anger”, “love”, “hate”, “compassion” – they’re not distinguishable to that degree, so my hermetically sealing off what I call “Anger” necessitated my sealing off what I also call “love” and “compassion.” This is not a good route to go down in life.
Without Anger and even Hate, we go nowhere as individuals and as a society. We become stuck and unable to do things. We end up in a cycle of being frozen and blaming ourselves for that emotional freeze, feeding back into a loop. We become jaded and unwilling to stand up for ourselves or our principals. Our sick society has come to know this as being mature, well-adjusted, and fair. As we’re unwilling to experience the Anger resultant of wrongs done to us in the past, we become unwilling to experience the Anger resulting from wrongs done to us right now. We also refuse to experience the Anger and Hate required to put right the social injustices we see, and leave that up to someone else or take the ultra-libertarian stance of “do what you will, just don’t disrupt my slice of comfort in the world.” The result of this disconnect is worthy of a book all to itself – it’s decimated the Western soul to the point that we’re unwilling to fight for our culture and our basic Human Rights. We continue to concede ground as the patch we’re left to stand on gets smaller and smaller. Everyone outside of America and Europe can see this, but we’re completely blind to it.
So the next time you feel Anger well up inside you, make friends with it. It’s arrived to tell you about yourself, so listen well, no matter how difficult the message might be. Learn to channel that energy into a unique form of Self-love where you grab life by the balls and declare that you’re worthy of defending. The New Age says that only bad things can come from Anger, but when done correctly, the Universe will actually reward you for expressing it in a creative way. It will reward you because this isn’t just YOUR Anger you’re feeling, it’s the Anger of your ancestors – feeling that or not feeling it means the liberation or enslavement of your descendants.
For fans of the band Tool, yes this is a reference to their song “The Grudge.” These musical magicians are opening a window for us to one of the many ways Saturn effects our lives – the end of the cycle, when Father Time “comes back around” to demolish false constructs. I’m writing this today because (as of December 2017) Saturn has “come back around” to His home sign of Capricorn, heralding an end of a 30 year cycle. What does that mean for you and the world at large?
Who is Saturn?
All the luminaries (Planets, the Sun, the Moon, and Comets) represent aspects of Human Consciousness – for example, the Sun represents outward personality (our “Star Sign”), Venus represents relationships, Mercury represents communication, movement, and wealth etc.
Saturn Himself represents the most profound and inescapable aspects of life – time, death, structure/limitation, laws, prohibition. The archetype can either be a repressive one which smothers freedom and individuality or it can be nurturing and liberating. It all comes down to our relationship with it, whether we’re allowing it to work in our lives.
In Western society today we’re mostly in rebellion against Saturn. We feel time, death, and limitation are insults to our freedom. Some people even go as far to equate Saturn with Satan – they see Him literally as “the Adversary” and completely evil. This unhealthy relationship has been the cause of so much personal and social fallout as many of us refuse to grow up, never develop a deep relationship with time, deny death, and resent any structure or law which doesn’t suit us personally in the moment. We’re unhealthily individualistic, causing our relationships, families, economies, and governments to fail. Despite our assumptions, the embracing of these Saturnian principals actually gives us the security and freedom we desire.
When the free-flowing Feminine spirit meets the hard boundaries of the Masculine it has form to build something within. It’s protected from the chaos outside of the boundary as much as it’s imprisoned within it. Without that boundary, spirit will forever aimlessly spread out into the cosmos – spreading itself too thin, as it were – and more isolated – ultimately to be eaten up by stronger forces which do have boundaries and structure. The universe is a violent place full of beings and systems, feeding off of other beings and systems for their own growth. We need Saturn’s guidance and protection.
Who is Saturn to Me?
For your own enlightenment, calculate when your Saturn Return occurs – we’ll cover this later.
Each luminary makes its way through the zodiacal wheel, telling the story of its archetype in a person’s life from beginning, to challenges, to flourishing, to more challenges, to achievement, and ultimately the end. Life is cycles within cycles. We recognise that as we culturally celebrate our “Solar Return” – what we call our Birthday. We gather with loved ones, celebrate, and reflect upon the year that passed. We don’t, however, do this for other planetary returns. For most of us, these come and go, and we’re none the wiser. Events happen in our lives and in our consciousness, and we attribute no particular order to them. The Saturn Return (when the planet enters the sign and degree He was in at our birth) is probably the most significant as it signifies the end of a cycle involving our understanding of the world and our place in it.
This event generally occurs every 28 to 31 years, giving us an ultimatum: throw out the old toys, test your assumptions, and be ready to have a fresh new perspective handed to you. You have roughly 3 decades to build your web of ideas, ideals, associations, and social life – then Saturn will come back around and ask you to step back from the canvas and ask “what works?” Depending on how much of a good boy or girl you’ve been all that time, it may be easy or difficult to be that honest with yourself and find the courage to walk away from the old beliefs and patterns which built your now-former life. Surrendering completely to this process is the ideal, as Saturn will “lift you up like a child” on His shoulders to give you an exciting panoramic vision – but to avoid the issue, to live in denial that the jig is up, He will “drag you down like a stone.” The Alchemical process of the universe is always trending toward completion and greater majesty, so it is always cleaning house and getting rid of what doesn’t work. If you get in the way of that cleaning process, you’ll find yourself in the bin as well. A saddening but great example of this is “The 27 Club”, a name given to an exhaustive list of musicians and actors who died at the age of 27. Surrounded by such negative influences, being worked to death and having drug abuse inflicted upon them, they were unable to make the last stint of their Saturnian transformations into fully grown adults.
Fun Fact: the Prefrontal Cortex in Humans (responsible for conscious decision-making) is not completely developed until between the ages of 26 and 28.
Saturn comes back around. Lifts you up like a child
Or drags you down like a stone to
Consume you till you choose to let this go.
Choose to let this go.
– “The Grudge”, by Tool, from the album Lateralus
In the course of a Saturnian Cycle we can easily collect grudges – either legitimate or imagined – and allow them to dictate our thoughts and actions. We may have been hurt by people, hurt by institutions, or hold a general hostility with the world for serving us a shit sandwich. Although it helps to know what we don’t want in our lives, we can develop an unhealthy obsession (known as a grudge) with who/what hurt us. We define ourselves by these grudges and inevitably find the same experiences repeat in our lives again and again – either because we believe it’s what we deserve or we distort situations in our minds to replay the trauma.
Wear the grudge like a crown of negativity.
Calculate what we will or will not tolerate.
Desperate to control all and everything.
Unable to forgive your scarlet lettermen.
Wear the grudge like a crown. Desperate to control.
Unable to forgive. And sinking deeper
– “The Grudge” by Tool
Too many of us are stuck in regret and resentment. For some people it becomes a lifestyle wherein they’re completely oblivious to their constant complaints and their misrepresentations of situations and people in their lives. This outward criticism and projection requires so much focus and energy that we cannot possibly evaluate ourselves honestly – a rot sets in. Over time, aspects of the personality calcify and old habits don’t give way to growth. We become frozen in time, while still aging in an ever-changing world. The contrast between the outmoded personality and the world sharpens, forcing us deeper into denial.
The mentally “healthy” man and woman is not exempt from this process. Most of us have a higher calling in life and should discover it by our first Saturn Return, but the internal and social pressures are often too much. Instead of yielding to universal Will and walking one’s own path, most just double-down on fulfilling social expectations. The result of this is often called “The Midlife Crisis” which is generally said to kick in on the first half of our second Saturnian Cycle (45 years of age). The individual, completely conned out of his or her youth, rebels against a selection of social standards in a misguided attempt at liberation. This behaviour is rapidly becoming accepted. Rapidly becoming the norm.
Give away the stone. Let the oceans take and
Transmutate this cold and fated anchor.
Give away the stone. Let the waters kiss and
Transmutate these leaden grudges into gold.
– “The Grudge” by Tool
In Alchemical terms, our experiences and thoughts are the crude materials that we’ll transmute into gold – how we achieve transcendence. Saturn’s lessons aren’t without compassion. He’s not asking you to forget or downplay your pain and frustration, but instead transmute it. To be more precise, allow it to be transmuted. By learning to surrender our pasts and hurts we take our first step toward healing and a required step before The Alchemical Wedding – The Alchemical “Divorce.” Distancing yourself from your persona in order to find yourself again and returning to that persona with a broader life perspective. This process involves a lot of pain as we objectively review our behaviour and realise that as much as we’ve been hurting, we have also hurt others. As much as we were misunderstood, we have misunderstood others. Whether we are guilty of these things or not, it’s completely healthy and a sign of spiritual strength to review oneself in this way.
The foundation of all mental illness is the unwillingness to experience legitimate suffering.
– Carl Justav Jung, Psychologist and Mystic
In a world of individuals who increasingly avoid the cycles in initiation throughout life, institutions and industries grow bigger in order to cater for and distract those of us who are afraid to face themselves. All manners of entertainment, drugs, and political scapegoats are provided to us by this system. Our economies and governments slowly become our drug dealers of denial.
Who is Saturn to Society?
In the same way Saturn’s Return to His position in your birthchart spells an end, Saturn’s transit into the sign of Capricorn also spells an end. As of December 2017 the clock has been ticking for Western society as we will collectively make a decision on whether to own our shit and overhaul our power structure, or if we’re going to leave that to the politicians, industrialists, and economists to figure out. In the past 100 years of Saturn entering Capricorn, world government has taken those opportunities to clamp down even further on opposing systems. It’s basically a Saturn Return for the entire planet, and like the personal Return it’s not a guarantee of planetary liberation like many Astrologers suggest. This can go either way – transmutation or further into denial and self-destruction. Now more than ever your metaphysical vote counts and you cast it by developing your own connection to spirit. Like other Tarot readers and Astrologers, I can help you with that for a reasonable service fee via this website.
If the world decides to go on ignoring the Saturnian principal, don’t lose hope. Don’t let it crush you. Evil may persist for quite some time and the universal force will allow it to carry on for the sake of Free Will – but Evil constructs faulty systems which are top-heavy and ultimately meaningless. From this day forward, all it takes is one subtle cosmic wind to come by and the whole thing is destined to come crashing down.
Saturn comes back around to show you everything
Let’s you choose what you will, will not see and then
Drags you down like a stone or lifts you up again
Spits you out like a child, light and innocent.
– “The Grudge” by Tool
We’ll continue our investigation into the foundational beliefs of what’s today called “the New Age” and inspecting their philosophical and practical validity. As I’ve said in both part 1 and part 2, this is primarily about our definitions of words. Faulty definitions can cause confusion and ultimately sabotage our growth. Love being the central organizing principal and highest power in the universe is one idea worthy of investigation.
When in Secondary School I was classed with rougher and more delinquent types. An arrangement that had it’s pros and cons. I found myself talking with one of them during metalworks class, as such classes allowed us to do. Responding to one thing or another, I made the statement “that’s not very fair” to which this teen philosopher responded “who says life is fair?” I had the unusual sensation that he was both right and wrong at the same time. Not being sure why, I didn’t try to answer the question.
Years later I discovered precisely how my wise classmate was both wrong and right – no, the world is clearly not fair by our standards. It can be quite cold, ruthless, uncaring, and violent. Nature and providence can short change you. However, there is a measurable balance in all things that hold the physical and metaphysical worlds in equilibrium. In terms of consciousness, we don’t experience that as fairness and justice by nature – it is we as conscious beings who are fair. We’re all judges and arbitrators of fairness, protecting the vulnerable and hard-done-by. If another creature is being treated wrongly, if Nature is being wantonly destroyed, or if a person isn’t receiving their due, we rectify that situation. Not only are we duty bound to do so, but electing to do so plugs us into an invisible powersource – a higher power seems to have our backs.
There are numerous central archetypes of Human consciousness which appear to transcend us as individuals and as a species. They drive us to accomplish things beyond our basic needs and desires and appear to be encoded into the universe itself, like the Fibonacci Sequence – expressing itself mathematically, on the cellular level, energetically, in plants, all the way up to the stars and planets, and perhaps beyond. We call this The Implicate Order, and Justice or Fairness is a part of that.
The New Age, whether they’re aware of this or not, are claiming that all of these archetypes are merely components of an ultimate archetype called Love. Aware of this or not, they’re staking the same claim monotheists make. All monotheistic (one God) religions in the world today came from polytheistic (many Gods) religions. Jehovah/Allah were chosen from a pantheon of equally powerful Gods, and all other Gods became aspects of Jehovah/Allah. In India sects of Hindus argue over the supremacy of either Vishnu, Krishna, Shiva, or any one of the millions of Gods in their pantheon. When Christianity spread in Europe and South America, the old Gods of those lands became Saints, Angels, or even just cute proto-Christ myths. It’s arguably a mental and spiritual virus to want to isolate one aspect of reality and exalt it above all-else. It ultimately suggests there is one path to travel, one heaven, only one thing to completely trust, yet we know by observing the rest of reality that there is no such thing as “one” – no object out there of which there is only one instance of. What happens when we insist that one tool out of our massive toolbox is supremely important? Could we find ourselves hammering in a nail with the wrench? Would be end up breaking both the nail and the wrench?
The argument for Love being the supreme organizing principal is that it’s present in everything. When Justice/Fairness is being practiced, it is an expression of Love because the universal force is bringing Justice to the world out of Love for its creation. It’s equally clear that Justice is also present in everything – not only is it a Human idea of fair treatment, it’s the law of balance which holds our bodies together, the planet together, our minds together. It’s Nature’s principal of having everything in the right amount and right order so physicality can function. It’s even present in energy/Spirit as it balances Love. Love and imbalance cannot occupy the same space. There can neither be too much or too little Love, there can only be Love. To give of yourself too freely to the point of self-harm is not Love, but the Shadow aspect of Love. Life cannot be lived to its fullest if our focus is entirely on one of the many aspects of consciousness. In other words, balance.
All of this wouldn’t really matter if I didn’t have an alternative to suggest. “Love” as the centrally organizing principal of consciousness is about 50% right. The other 50% comes down to the etymology and our preconceptions of the word itself. “Love” is a strictly European word which has no direct translation in other language groups. When we translate words we’re simply finding comparable words in the other language. Words are cultural, and for we Europeans “love” has always meant “joy, praise, and sexual attraction.” It never contained any mystical significance except the Christian concept of “love of God”, as in you love God. Its association with some great force at the center of God or Human consciousness is no more than 100 years old. Why does that matter? It matters because there is a better word out there, forgotten by the average person:
CARE, seems innocuous as a word since we use it to describe something a nurse does for the sick and elderly or for when we “care about the environment” or “care about a person.” Because of our recent European fascination with Romance, those statements aren’t as powerful as “loving the environment” or “loving a person.” Care, instead, runs deeper, and isn’t always as hotblooded as “love”. It can be present without melding into or even supporting a person or thing. The Celtic word root itself gives us our names for Priest and Church, as the concept of Care was a deeply spiritual state and activity for our ancestors. They recognised each individual as a focal point of consciousness – the eyes, ears, and nerve-endings of the universe itself. On behalf of the universe we are appreciating the many expressions of itself. The Buddhists and early Hindus understood this also with their word which we translate as “compassion” – the feeling of, and being present for, the suffering of all life, which compels us as seekers to ease suffering as opposed to contributing to it. Com-Passion could be read as complete passion, an appreciation for a thing, person, or situation that permeates it entirely. Care and Compassion always involves Justice, as we weigh out what is healthiest for ourselves and the other, how much we should involve ourselves and give love. We decide whether we have a right to intervene or whether doing so will harm us. We decide whether our energy should be spent feeding 3rd world children and ending wars or if we could aid those situations more efficiently by working on ourselves and loving our immediate neighbours. We decide whether a hostile person would benefit more from being lovingly beaten or whether we would benefit more from being beaten. Sometimes Care can involve hostility, as we sometimes have to decide to use violence to protect our own life, the life of another, or Nature. Today, we pray in thanks to God for giving us our food, while in the past we prayed in thanks to the creature that gave its life for our sustenance. There are many acts which can involve Care and Compassion which we would say there is no Love in – simply because of the word’s definition. Clearly the word is insufficient.
If someone were to argue my position, I’d suggest there’s something insincere about their motives. They should ask themselves if their attachment to the word “Love” is really out of a desire to be understood by others, or whether it’s out of laziness and convenience. Keep using the word “Love” and you will slow your own spiritual progress and contribute to the slowing of those around you. Scratch beneath the surface.
Crystals are the world’s greatest secret in plain sight. Used by society and industry today to power our computers and personal devices, and yet we are largely unaware of their other properties, powers, and potentials. Being so powerful, proper care is required.
Occasionally you will want to cleanse, charge, and program your crystals – remove unwanted energy from them, re-energize them, and install and intention or frequency into them. This isn’t necessary each Lunar Month, although I tend to do this for the enjoyment and ritual of it.
For this stage you need a clear glass or plastic bowl (preferably glass) big enough to fit at least a few crystals without it being cramped. Fill with water – the purer the better – and add a tablespoon of salt per litre. The fresh water and salt acts on crystals like it acts on us: a disinfectant, physically and energetically.
Before placing your crystals in the water be sure that they and the water are at roughly the same temperature. Like us, they’re conscious and living creatures who can experience shock, and ultimately, trauma. Traumatizing a crystal can either kill it or insult it, making it useless or causing it to leave you.
Caution: do not place any type of selenite or other soft crystals in water as they’ll become damaged and destroyed.
Caution: do not simply drop your crystals into the bowl.
Some people like to pray or set a positive intention for this action as they place each crystal in the bowl. Depending on what mood I’m in I may remember do to do so. My experiences have taught me that the more care and the more deliberately I handle the crystals in this process, the more powerful they come out the other end.
Cleansing Selenite, Soft Crystals, and Bigger Crystals
As some crystals don’t belong in water and some won’t fit in a bowl, another method of cleansing is required and advised before charging and programming. You can do this by “smudging” them with with white sage, dragon’s blood, or another cleansing medium.
If you don’t have any of these tools on-hand, you can hold your crystals and ask whatever higher power you work with to cleanse them for you. Or, if you’re competent and confident enough, use your own powers of feeling or visualization!
There is a handy table at the bottom of this article listing the dates of Full Moons over Britain and Ireland. Dates will vary depending on your position on the Earth, so adjust accordingly.
This part is simple, because you’re not involved. On the day before, of, or after, the Full Moon, place your bowl(s) of crystals in the most opportune place to catch the Moonlight for as long as possible over night.
Leave them for 2 to 5 hours, or all night. Crystals won’t be damaged by Moonlight, so if you can’t retrieve them during the night or they’re in serious need, don’t fear to leave them.
Why Charge by Moonlight?
Light is power – a form of energy and consciousness. Some crystals (like amethyst) cannot withstand direct Sunlight, so for this and other reasons we choose to charge by the Moon.
The Moon, physically and symbolically, represents Feminine energy – emotional, intuitive, and unconscious. Crystals operate on this frequency, so they should be charged with that comparative energy. The Full Moon is selected for it’s peak power. More can be learned about Lunar phases elsewhere online.
Crystals can be installed with instructions, frequencies, or information. That’s their ability and purpose. If a crystal is not programmed, it will be programmed either by an aware individual or the environment it’s in.
There is no absolute correct way of doing this, except that you need to make an energetic connection with both the frequency you which to program and the crystal itself. Take the crystals out of the bowl, one after the other, and while holding them set your intention for them. Crystals can be programmed to do anything, but they’re at their most powerful when programmed with tasks that closer resemble the properties of the crystal’s type. You can learn about your individual crystals by picking up a copy of the brilliant “Crystal Bible” by Judy Hall and reading at Crystal Vaults.
For Full Moon dates and everything-Moon, check out and bookmark Lunarium’s Universal Lunar Calendar as these are only accurate for Britain and Ireland.

As laid out in part 1 of this series, definitions are important. What you have in your mind upon hearing a certain word or phrase, like Law of Attraction, may be different to mine and can cause confusion if definitions aren’t agreed upon. To be clear: it is completely within the abilities of a person to bend reality to bring about circumstances, relationships, and things, which they desire. In other words, we can attract to us anything we wish. It’s just a little more complicated than it’s being sold to us as.
Those who dabble in New Age material will hear the phrase “The Law of Attraction” used again and again, being used by other dabblers and New Age snake oil salesmen alike, while not being given much else to go on. We hear this phrase so much because it’s good marketing: it promises us something in four short words and holds our attention long enough for us to swallow a salespitch, to join a group, to purchase a CD, a book, or an online course. Because this is the industry standard, even authentic teachers of this powerful principal are forced to use it, so finding the diamond in the rough can be an impossible task. Most people don’t find the right teachers and material, a fact evidenced by the millions of people who constantly consume these intangible products and still find themselves unable to manifest the perfect life. So what’s going wrong; what are the false teachers failing to teach, and what are the misguided students failing to do?
What we call “The Law of Attraction” today has its roots in pre-civilization – we’ve known this for millions of years – so this is nothing new. The teachers of this principal have simply repackaged this ancient wisdom with new words and slightly tweaked the concepts behind it to be understood by a contemporary audience. Just for perspective, most people don’t know James Allen’s “As a Man Thinketh” released in 1903, Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” released in 1937, or Earl Nightingale’s “The Strangest Secret” released in 1976 – and the current vendors of the New Age definitely won’t tell us about them, either. No matter how spiritually elevated or positive someone might at first seem, we can’t forget that we’re all out to butter our own bread, and what better way to become the next New Age superstar than to pretend that such powerful wisdom is unique and original to you? With this healthy dose of skepticism we can honestly look at our gurus and ask if they’re leaving us short changed. Spoiler Alert! Most of them are.
The current iteration of “The Law of Attraction” has been popularized by the mysteriously-hyped book and “documentary”, The Secret. Credit where it’s due, this craze has opened more people up to the reality that they have direct control over their own lives and the fabric of reality, but it skillfully left out very key teachings, boiling the whole process down to “make a vision board, think about it really really hard, and want it really really hard” – in other words: sit on your ass doing nothing, just think really hard while doing so. As pointed out by the famous channel Abraham Hicks, The Secret ironically has hidden the secret. The only people whom this watered down wisdom actually worked for were those who were already spiritually/psychologically prepared to manifest their desires and complete psychopaths who have no mental furniture to begin with. The Secret, in its sensationalism, left out the most important factor of the whole manifestation process: the consciousness of the individual.
The 12 Universal Laws
Note: I’m stating these laws for the sake of this presentation, not because I “believe them.” Each model has it’s uses, its benefits, and its limitations.
New Age vendors along the lines of the creators of The Secret have isolated one Law out of a set of 12 Laws. It renders the process meaningless, as much as if I were to offer my own version of Alcoholic’s Anonymous and focus on just one of the 12 steps. Below is a process, a guidance system of self-improvement and discovery (which I suggest you look into in depth on your own), which will genuinely result in life-changing events.
- The Law of Oneness
- The Law of Vibration
- The Law of Action
- The Law of Correspondance
- The Law of Cause and Effect
- The Law of Compensation
- The Law of Attraction
- The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
- The Law of Relativity
- The Law of Polarity
- The Law of Rhythm
- The Law of Gender
Everyone from the producers of Coca-Cola, the heroin dealer on the street, to the politician looking to be elected to parliament, wants to sell you an easy ride to your dreams – simply put, because we’re dumb enough to buy the ticket, like when Faust made a deal with the devil and didn’t realise that he signed away his soul for the quick fix. The charlatans of the New Age know this and have appealed to our laziness and victimhood – that part of us which doesn’t want to look at itself in the mirror, which doesn’t want to acknowledge it’s current position in the universe. The Law of Oneness isn’t just a cuddly feel-good fact. It’s a challenge to our Ego which says “that which is within is also without”, that the current state of our lives is our own doing. A circumstance not entirely the fault of our Ego center, yet this part of us (designed for our survival) absolutely loves to take responsibility for everything, both good and bad, as it’s convinced that it is the only game in town. It must be responsible, so that means it gets to troubleshoot the shitty situation we currently find ourselves in. According to the Ego, the best and only path to a solution is a straight line. And so, after watching a documentary like The Secret, we think “Oh! All I need to do is imagine a Ferrari outside my front door and everything will be fine!” – fatally leaving out all the other Laws, including two Laws I would personally propose…
The Law of Compassion & The Law of Personality
No, the Ferrari will not solve all of your problems. Our modern lives are complex, the world is complex, and most importantly our own selves are complex. Running rife in our Atheistic and materialist culture is the belief of “If I just get this, then I’ll be okay. I’ll be acceptable. I’ll at least catch up to my peers by age X.” True Authentic Selfhood is so scarce in this world, so most people around us have no true sense of Self and have imposed upon themselves these arbitrary expectations – worse yet, because they expect these things of themselves they absolutely expect them of you! Most of us are inundated with the social pressure to turn away from the call of Self to fulfill these requirements to escape judgement and rejection from our relatives and peers. Of course, from our Ego center, the first thing we want is that Ferrari parked outside our 5-bedroom house, the perfect job, the perfect partner, the perfect children. Either we want these things so that we end up on the top of the social hierarchy, or we simply want them as a permanent “Fuck Off!” sign to wave at society while we get on with being ourselves… either way, this is a red herring.
“The Law of Attraction” fails for so many people, frankly, because so many people don’t actually know what they want. Most of us are, to one degree or another, a trainwreck of competing “desires”, unable to settle for any healthy length of time upon any particular one. Like I said before, the only people “The Law of Attraction” works for are the already-spiritually pure or psychopaths – both of these people are focused and determined, and the universe responds almost immediately. The rest of us have rare moments where our True Will wins the day, so we have amazing things happen to us, but we mostly plod on through a medley of (seemingly) random events and strikes of “bad luck.” This is where my two new Universal Laws come into play: The Law of Compassion and The Law of Personality. No matter how many comparisons you can draw between two people, you cannot erase the fact that they are two people with distinct experiences that matter to them.
In our era of materialism we are trained from birth to focus on abstract notions of rank, prestige, wealth, and hard labour, to the point that the inner experience of the individual is completely forgotten about. In fact, the whole history of civilization has been a process of taking away from the value of individual experience through the introduction of hierarchies all the way to digital surveillance of our every movement. Advertising and commerce has continually commodified our inner experiences to the point that our tastes in food, music, clothing, and even styles of walking have become market demographics to be sold products to. Now, ask yourself why that shouldn’t be the case for the New Age movement? Even our own ability to recreate reality has been commodified, all while our Authentic Selfhood continues to whither.
If a unified and unconditionally-loving force exists in the world, it doesn’t care what car you drive, where you live, or any other external marker, it cares how you feel as an individual. You may ask, as I have and soon again will, “then why does it let x, y, and z happen?” and the simple answer to that question is that you let it happen. Just as the compassion of the parent will allow the child (after an initial warning) to touch a burning stove in order to learn a lesson, the compassion of the Universe stands by to watch us get burned by the illusory reality we live in as long as we keep believing in it. As cruel as this might first sound, it’s really a blessing as it allows us to experience the full spectrum this reality has to offer. Like the parent who might first seem cruel, “the Universe” is simply handing us all the power we need to grow into fully empowered souls who understand what it means to be burned and can appreciate the excitement of living a pain-free and abundant life (The Law of Polarity). What’s more, it gives us the superpower of COMPASSION. Burned before, we can acknowledge the suffering of our brothers and sisters who are currently suffering and lend aid to them. Most importantly, we must have compassion for ourselves.
If we are one, then surely this means that we are “it”. Tat Tvam Asi, as the Hindus say. If we are “it”, then surely we must practice compassion. Not only for others, but primarily for ourselves. A big lesson in the New Age is letting go of the past, releasing attachment to old experiences to let new ones in. This is a deep wisdom, but the purpose of the practice has been lost. We must detach from the past, not because “It’s gone, so get over it,” but because we are genuinely becoming more conscious of our place in the universe. If we have experience hardship or abuse because we weren’t conscious of our power, or if we have abused others because of unconsciousness, we should look upon that former self with compassion. Compassion because we didn’t know any better. Compassion because we were experiencing hardship that drown out our consciousness. Compassion because we are sincerely on the journey towards Selfhood and striving toward better every day. So long as we are reaching for the next rung of this ladder and are willing to learn more, why should we be weighed down by our prior oversights and mistakes?
Since the beginning of Western philosophy a silent war has been waged. That between materialism and Personalism. The idea that the facts and the figures are all that matters, and the personal experience of each Human Being matters foremost. The champions of materialism formed our view of God, government, and economics, while the champions of Personalism have hid away in the underground. The Personalists proclaim that each individual is his own universe, inviolable and unintelligible to any other Human Being. That God himself had bestowed upon each of us a sovereign sphere which occupies no particular space and time but no less exists and is vitally important. Each of us have had experiences and have a history, a story that tell us who we are. This paints a picture of ourselves and informs how we feel and what we think today. To our creator, there is nothing more precious in all of reality. All of the galaxies, solar systems, plants, and mammals can be recreated in a moment by our creator, but YOU personally couldn’t be recreated no matter how hard he/she tried. I’m sure you’ve heard the idioms You couldn’t write this or fact is stranger than fiction, well this is what they mean. As a co-creator you have fashioned yourself, unconsciously, and are now choosing to come into consciousness to create a higher reality. Surely the end goal isn’t to erase that individual creation and become an exact copy of some ideal. Surely your destiny lies in your recognition of your individuality and your expression of that individuality in a higher form.
So What’s All This Got To Do With The Law of Attraction?
Glad you asked, because I was meandering there for a while.
At the root of it all, this principal is pointing towards our individual experience. It asks us to look beyond societal expectations and ask ourselves what we truly want out of this life. Conveniently, the New Age gurus have left out consciousness altogether and sold us this divine Law as a way to meet those social expectations. What I’m suggesting you do is look beyond all of the Not-Self garbage and (to borrow another New Age term) ask your Inner Child what it wanted out of this life. Don’t betray your personal story, but instead embrace it. Look at your life as a mythology as the great Joseph Campbell asked you to. If the 12 Universal Laws make sense to you, use them to confront the challenges that lay ahead of you as if you were writing the next great fantasy novel with yourself as the main character. Call upon the universe to bestow upon you the weapons and resources you need to battle the next great dragon which lay on your path. When all is said and done and you pass on to the next dimension, your story will be told and celebrated by many. You will be heralded as a hero for having risen above the chaos that is 21st Century Earth. THIS is the true meaning of The Law of Attraction; to know what you are attracting things for and how they fit into your individual story.
The future is the story of the individual…
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law,” a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
The Emerald Shield, an anonymous collective of Irish magicians, has chosen Gaelic Divinations as a temporary mouthpiece after they have been mysteriously locked out of their free wordpress.com blog. They wish me to convey this misfortune as well an important message about the weather across the globe as-of late Autumn.
To understand The Emerald Shield and their purpose, see the front page of their inactive blog here. The fact that their blog is still online but has been removed from their control is interesting to say the least.
First, they wish for you to watch this video by Truthstream Media for context.
Direct Communique from The Emerald Shield:
Many conspiracy theorists (rightly) allege that our weather systems are being manipulated by corporate and government interests. However, this Winter’s major weather upsets can be assigned to a much more worrying cause which has been feeding into the aforementioned conspirators’ agenda.
As the above video demonstrates, the news-media and meteorological services have the population is hysterics. As the weather and climate are intertwined with Human consciousness, this hysteria is feeding into further destructive weather patterns. Then, in turn, more destructive weather patterns are generated – rinse and repeat. This is liquid gold to the enemies of mankind as we are now doing their job for them – we’re destroying ourselves.
The source of this current problem is not solely chemtrails, HAARP, or elite dark sorcery, but the well-intentioned actions of self-proclaimed “Light Worker” magicians in North America. These egotistical dipshits thought it was a good idea to cover the world in snow. Regrettably, these people possess great power and clearly don’t have the prerequisite foresight or selflessness to engage in such large-scale sorcery. As a result, they have caused numerous deaths by accident, the disruption of emergency services, flooding, and freezing to death (particularly of the homeless and elderly). The current activities of this group is, at-present, unknown to Emerald Shield, but we still broadcast the demand that they desist from further manipulation of our weather and focus their powers on more level-headed pursuits or simply attend counseling.
In the meantime, members of Emerald Shield and our allies should realise that a feedback loop is in effect. Firstly, opt out of the feedback loop by ignoring these weather patterns (while taking reasonable precautions) and refusing to engage in rush-buying or catastrophizing (conversation about the weather patterns). Secondly, cast your own magical spells to calm any weather patterns that come to strike Ireland or your country/region. Know that what you resist, persists, and that batteries and streams of energy simply require recognition and redirection. In other words, don’t fight fire with fire. Don’t try to stop or deny these vast currents of energy. Instead, harness the energy within them and perform your own magic with that energy. Anyone familiar with Wing Chun Kung Fu will understand this message the best. Also recognise that the weather is an “element”, is a spirit, and also requires recognition. Take this as an opportunity to build your relationship with it.
